We ARE ALL Family

The song "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge is the theme song to this card. We are all family. All of us. We are all one. We are all from the same source. And somewhere along the lines we've forgotten that, or chosen to ignore it. It does not matter what someone's political or social views are. It does not matter that their views are vastly different from our own. It does not matter if you feel that their morals and their core beliefs are different than your own. Truth bomb: it's not your place to be judge and jury over anyone. And we've all forgotten that too. At the end of the day, there is always more potential for connection than there is for division. But when you focus on the divide, when you sit in judgement, when you draw "us against them" lines in the sand, that is all that you'll see. Do you truly believe that your judgement is doing anything to change the world? To change the beliefs of others? Check yourself. In what you speak, in what you post, even, and especially in what you think. There is absolutely a way to stay true to your core morals, values, and beliefs without doing so in judgement or degradation of others. And, if you truly wish to become the change that you want to see in the world, this is exactly what we all must learn to do. It isn't easy. It's hard as hell. But to try to go about effecting change any other way often leads to contributing to the problem rather than the solution. When you know better, you do better. You know better now. You have a responsibility to be better, to do better. Recognize the humanity that is the common denominator for all of us. Honor it. Show love to your fellow humans. You'll notice that I didn't just let you off the hook by suggesting kindness. Kindness masking judgement is not enough. Not anymore. It's time to level up. It's time to embrace and enhance our commonalities and focus on our connections. It's time for love. Acceptance and understanding are intrinsincally linked to and live in love. You can love and accept someone without agreeing with what they think or do. You absolutely can. It's just way easier to choose not to. But it's time for different choices. It's time for love. It's time to recognize, accept, and celebrate ALL of our Brothers and Sisters. Because we as humans are spiritual beings having a human experience right now and we're all learning and we're all growing. And it's much,much easier to do that with the help, love, and support of our family.
