Trust Paves The Path To Peace

Our Divine Download for November 19, 2023 is Trust from the Indigo Angels Oracle Cards. Ah, trust. Such a simple word, yet such a difficult concept. Or so we seem to think. We have the choice to trust or to live in denial and doubt. Which way seems easier? Which way feels better? Yeah, we can live in denial and doubt and walk around ignorantly second guessing ourselves and doubting ourselves, or we can lean into trust. When we trust the things that spirit has told us and the things that spirit has shown us, we make life a hell of a lot easier for ourselves (not to mention MUCH more pleasant!) One of the questions that I get asked frequently is "how do I know the difference between my ego and my intuition?" Your ego exists to keep you alive. It is rooted to a time and has not evolved beyond the time when everything could and was often trying to kill us. So our ego's message became "if you do that you'll DIE!" When we receive messages from our ego, even when they are allegedly positive messages, there is an urgency to them and an unsettled and often upsetting energy. When we receive messages from our intuition, or from spirit (hint: they're one in the same because we're all connected!) even when we might receive information that we don't exactly love, it is gentle and it still feels somehow reassuring. You've heard the old adage "the truth will set you free" and that couldn't be more true when it comes to comparing ego versus intuition. Our bodies will literally tell us if the information that we are receiving is accurate, so when we choose not to trust, we aren't just doubting our intuition, we are also doubting our bodies, and the whole of our being. One of the biggest reasons that we get hung up on not trusting is because of the pesky concept of timing. We may have received a message from spirit or through our intuition that something was going to happen at a specific time, and then it didn't, so we decide that we were "wrong." Nope. If spirit said it's going to happen, it's going to happen. We just don't get to know how. And even when they tell us when, we don't really get to know that either because time simply doesn't work the way our mere mortal minds try to make it work. So trust. It's all happening. Trust.
