RETREAT!

Our Divine Download for February 12, 2024 is Retreat from The Romance Angels Oracle Cards. So just in case you missed it mere days ago, you need a break. This card tells us clearly "It's time to disconnect from the world." To what extent you are able to do this and how that looks for you is likely unique to you. But, watching the news, scrolling social media, running every single idea you have by every friend you've ever known, constant texts, emails, phone calls, etc. are all more than a little overwhelming. Even being out in the wild, interacting with people can be, and often is, more than a little overwhelming. So stop. Just for a day. If you can't do it for a day, give yourself an hour. Chances are better than not that nothing catastrophic or life altering is going to happen in that hour that you unplug and retreat. Be with yourself. Sit with yourself. With your emotions. With your being. Enjoy the "silence" (or as close as we can ever get in this noisy world that we inhabit). Get to know yourself in a meaningful way. Talk to yourself. Talk to your body. Ask it what it wants. Ask it what it needs. Be willing to meet those wants and those needs without apology (Hint: your body does NOT want you back scrolling through social media!) If you don't retreat from time to time, if you don't unplug and go inward, how can you possibly know what is going on within yourself? If you don't know or truly understand what is going on within you, how can you make decisions from your most connected place? Give yourself the grace and space to retreat for as long as you are able.
