Prioritize Your Spirituality

The Black Dragon From Saturn asks us to "Concentrate. Focus on your ultimate vision. Congratulate yourself - you have passed a test." Spiritual discipline is an excellent and poignant term because most of humanity isn't particularly disciplined about their spirituality. Spirituality is often an after thought. It's the "when I have time I'll do x, address y, practice z, learn about abc." But we never have the time. We don't have the time because we don't make the time, but we surely make an awful lot of excuses. This dragon appears for us now insisting that we prioritize our spirituality the same way (or even moreso) than we prioritize other facets of our lives. If we choose not to do so, we will not grow spiritually, mentally, or emotionally right now, which is exactly what we are being called to do. Spirituality should actually be one of if not our main priorities, not an after thought. Spiritual practices are no different than consuming water or brushing our teeth and bathing daily - they are necessary for our survival and critical if we are to thrive, which is what Spirit wants for us. In order to thrive, we must have a solid spiritual practice which provides opportunities for growth and learning. Having a spiritual practice isn't about going to church every Sunday (though that can certainly be part of it) and it's not about setting up an alter (though that too can certainly be part of it).
