Perceive The Truth Of Your Intuition

Our Divine Download for November 26, 2024 is I Am Perceptive from the I Am Everything Affirmation Card Deck with the message "My intuition is powerful. When I am unsure, my intuition is sure. I strengthen my intuition by trusting it and responding to its impulses. I am perceptive." One of the questions that I am asked frequently in my private client sessions is how to tell the difference between intuition and ego. Step one is that you have to question whether or not you are doing that, so you're already there as soon as you ask the question! The biggest and also easiest point of differentiation is that our ego, or our thinking mind (which is usually overrun and overwrought by our ego) has not evolved at a pace that is compatible with our current life style so it likes to get out attention by screaming at us and sending us all kinds of catastrophic thoughts that are intended to frighten us into submission to it's will (which is ultimately to keep us safe and alive). But our intuition, even when it is telling us something that may not be our very favorite thing to hear, or our very favorite piece of information, will almost always feel calm and reassuring in a very specific way. So you can literally differentiate between the two based on how and what you are feeling within your own body. The more you practice recognizing these feelings, both the physical and the emotional, the easier it will become for you to differentiate, just like the more you lean in and trust your intuition, the easier it becomes for you to trust it and to differentiate from your thinking and egoic minds. Practice really does make perfect, so give yourself some grace with this process. Willingness goes a LONG way to working with intuition.
