Look Through The Lens Of Compassion

So often in life we become myopic in our view point because we only want to see, hear, think about, and focus on our own experience. But sometimes, there is more to learn and much more to see and experience when we can choose to be mindful and look at the other side of the situation or the proverbial coin. You don't truly understand others' motivations until and unless you have lived their life and seen the world through their eyes. It's so very easy to judge another's behavior matched up against your own and label it as right or wrong. But in doing so, you are missing an important part of the equation: the other person's history and personal path. We are all sparks of the Divine, with a purpose here in the physical dimension, and we can all exert our free will choice. Some of us have lost our way along the path to love and joy, and it is a human reaction to judge others before examining their journey through their eyes and with compassion. Your job is not to judge; your job is to love and understand. Think about the past situations in your life that have been made better simply through understanding. Taking the time to remove your myopic lens of perception and truly try to put yourself in someone else's shoes is time that will always be well spent and ultimately an investment in your own self growth and development.
