Have Faith In Your Fortitude

Our Divine Download for November 8, 2024 is Lady's Mantle/Fortitude from The Illustrated Heribary. Lady's Mantle will be there when you need to wrap a blanket around her shoulders and call in her protection to enter into a dark forest, or a dark night of your soul. She reminds you that you can make it through this lifetime. Your should is whole, and no matter what pains or abuse the physical world throws at you, you have integrity of spirit. Lady's Mantle is also particularly wise and wonderful to work with in cases of trauma, guiding you out of those proverbial dark woods and towards the light of better and easier days to come. She does not demand, she waits, knowing that you'll find both your bravery and fortitude within. She never looses faith in your strength, and with her help, neither will you. It is helpful to work with Lady's Mantle by playing the "And Then?" game where you take an imaginary journey through your own worst fears. (And rest in the reassurance that imagining scary things in this way does NOT call them in, because you are doing to in order to challenge and dissect them out of being. It is also important to remember and to understand that while thoughts absolutely DO shape your reality, it's because thought directs action, not because mere thinking shifts the foundations of the universe. Read that again. And again.) When you play the "And Then" game and you imagine your biggest fear, you continue to ask yourself "And Then?" as you unpack your fears and unspool possible futures. The game isn't over until you're out of the woods and the answer no longer terrifies you. When we avoid our own shadows, it's often because we feel we lack the strength to face them. We believe that they will overpower our light, or that our life will change irrevocably, and we doubt we have the fortitude to deal with that. Lady's Mantle knows this isn't true. She knows unexplored dark spaces can become black holes, sucking at our happiness. Her faith in our strength is absolute.
