Get Mindfully Moving

Our Divine Download for March 4, 2024 is Movement from the Sacred Self-Care Oracle. Movement is not everyone's favorite card because many people equate movement with exercise which is not everyone's favorite word. But our bodies need movement, we crave movement, and when we don't get enough movement, we tend to get stuck literally and figuratively and then wonder why we're stuck. Because. We. Aren't. Moving. What movement means and looks like for one person will be very different than what it means for someone else, and that's okay (it's part of being bio-individual beings!) So while some of us might crave movement to the extent of running a marathon or dead-lifting our body weight, others of us might do better with transcendental dance or restorative yoga. The quality and the quantity of the movement does not matter right now. What matters is that you listen to your body. What is your body telling you? What is your body saying that it needs from you? What type of movement is your body craving? How and when will you honor your body by providing that movement? The key with any movement that we choose to take right now and all of the movements that we make, is that we are being encouraged to do so mindfully. So if your body is telling you it would just like some gentle stretching, that's wonderful, connect to it and stretch away. If your body is telling you to move towards or away from something or someone, that is perfect, set the intention to honor your body and get moving. Be mindful about how you are moving, why you are moving, and where it is you are moving to (or what you are moving towards). Now is the time for mindful and directed movement.
